Explaining God to Atheists.

What is God?

Sometimes God is a sense of self that transcends the individual.  Sometimes God is and empty set defined by the user.  Sometimes God is the Universe.  Sometimes God is fate or a Force of Nature.  At other times god is the embodiment of a Virtue, Justice, Karma, Wisdom, etc.  At still other times God is oneself in the future in perfected form with omnipotence.

If you take the definition of God as Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent that is a rhetorical tautology of the Universe as the Corpus Deus.  In order to understand what “God” means at any point in time you have to understand how it is being used.  If you look up the etymology of God you find that it comes from Proto-Indo-European and the same origin as Gautama meaning “Light to Dark”.  My Guru told me that the word “Guru” means essentially the same thing.
