The Ostracism of Ataraxia

Noah Socrates:  It was probably one of the most difficult and heart rending moments in the civilization of the Zed.  Ataraxia was one of Shivastus’ closest and most loved disciples, still what she had caused was unforgivable.  The Zed had a rule, you never say anything bad about a member to anyone who was not a Zed, all disputes were handled inside the community, so as not to attract negative attention to the community and allow judgments of external third person parties to be validated so that they could tear the community apart.  Ataraxia had been counseled on 2 previous occasions about her loose lips, before the event in question.

What happened was a police force arrived at the Zed community and burst in, the Zed community was trained to always be ready to fight evil at any moment and their skills were deadly.  It was a one sided victory, the Community had never been tested in actual combat but they didn’t even pause their training took over and they had already been prepared for death and they no longer thought emotionally or sentimentally.  The police force was trounced soundly before they brought in the big gun, some manner of automatic weapon, that is when Shivastus arrived on the scene.  Flowing into action he tore down a thick tapestry and began spinning it with a rapid circular motion, a technique nobody had seen because he hadn’t gotten around to showing anybody.  Running faster than the eye could see he caught all of the bullets from the Gatling gun before it over heated and jammed.  He threw the tapestry which was full of lead at the gunner and he flew back sticking to the ground under the weight.  Shivastus using his chi lept high into the air and landed on the gun, using his powerful chi again he made his arm into a sword of light and sliced through the gun, filling the police with shock ans awe.

The police chief yelled, “hold your fire!”  and the combat ceased.

“What is the meaning of this???”  yelled Shivastus, “We have done nothing wrong to anybody!  We have always been good citizens.”

“There was talk at the market that this was some manner of cult and that there were persons here being persecuted.”  said the police chief.

“What?”  Shivastus looked puzzled, “Everybody is here of their own free will and is free to leave if they want.  It has always been that way.  If they can’t obey the rules they are free to go.”

“I am sorry, perhaps we were mis-informed.  Do you have an Ataraxia here?”  asked the chief.

Ataraxia, stepped quietly out of the back ground looking very contrite.  “I am here.”

“Are you ok?  Do you want to come with us?” queried the chief.

“No I am fine, I am unharmed, their must have been some misunderstanding.”  Ataraxia cringed under the gaze of the master.  Her guilt weighing heavily on her conscience.

“I am sorry for the inconvenience, we will leave.”  the chief turned, “lets go men.”

A meeting was convened to determine the fate of Ataraxia.  The Zed met in the aghori, a large circle was scratched in the dirt and people voted by throwing either a white stone or a black stone into the circle.  A white stone meant she was forgiven, a black stone meant she was banished from the community.  Almost immediately the circle was full of black stones.  It was difficult to bare the pain on Shivastus’ visage, you could see how torn he was.  He had to chose between everything he had spent his over 900 years of life working for or one student that was constantly jeopardizing everything for everybody.  Ataraxia’s fate was already decided and yet everybody still waited for the master to weigh in.  He tossed in a black stone that plinked off all the others.  Ataraxia wailed, and collapsed in sobs.  This one action of Shivastus’ was more heartbreaking by far than that of all the others.  To be shunned by the Master…  Shivaji turned his back and began walking away.

Ataraxia lept to her feet and started to speak, in one fluid motion, he turned and waved his hand.  Her throat dried up and her voice caught in her throat.  She tried to throw herself at him and with another wave of his hand her legs were immobilized, she fell to the ground.   Her face looked the very essence of pathos, so pathetic was she, it tugged at the heart strings of everyone, almost making them forget that she had repeatedly and stupidly put the community at risk for no good reason.  Shivastus made a poking gesture with his right index finger and her head was suddenly that of a hyena, and she made a horrible laughing sound that racked her body.

I feel it is important to tell you, before the story progresses any further how Ataraxia and Shivastus met.  He used to go to the market to meet people and talk philosophy, at the market there was a homeless beggar woman who used to gain sympathy for herself by trying to buy food with a wooden nickel.  She looked so pathetic that people would feel sympathy for her thinking her mentally incapable and they would give her food for free so that she would go away and stop making paying customers feel bad.

One day, and we don’t know how because to everyone’s recollection Shivaji never owned a fruit cart but that is how she told the story, she came to buy an apple from him with her wooden nickel and he gave her a wooden apple.  He had used his uncanny powers acquired in meditation to discern that she was not crazy at all, she was manipulating people because she was too lazy to work.  She was parasiting off society.  She became one of his closest students.

“No! You don’t get to speak to me!”  roared Shivah, “I taught you better!  and you like a dog returning to your own filth have threatened everything that I have created!  I told you that every event in the relationship characterizes the relationship!  I told you to save your best for first!  You had a buffet of the greatest wisdom in the world and you threw it all away so that you could tell a sad story!  not even a true story, just to feel like you were in control!  Just to change something!  You don’t change anything in the universe without creating a karmic debt!  When will you grow up??? When will you stop acting like a child?  When will you stop saying you are not responsible?  At what point are you going to stop using the argument from ignorance as an excuse???  When are you going to think before you act?  When are you going to take responsibility for your actions???  Unconscious in relationship is NOT relationship!  That is not what we teach here!  That is not what we practice here!  Should we let one lying, pathetic fool repeatedly jeopardize everything that we believe in and have worked so hard to create???

Since you don’t follow our philosophy you are not a part of our philoish.  You have your own philosophy and you should follow the Praxis of it.  Your heart, your concern, has left us, and your feet should follow.  With all of your cunning and strategic behavior you have earned the right to be free from us, congratulations on your foolish victory.”  Shivaji, flicked his hand angrily and Ataraxia was returned to her normal human state, and she could move her limbs again.  He, whipped around, shunning her, not wanting to look at the pain that was on her face but knowing that somewhere inside her this was a ploy that she had used all of her life to manipulate people.  It couldn’t be taken as a genuine demonstration of regret.  She had cried wolf, too many times before.

She was expected to leave, but she quickly ran towards the flame of Eternal Vigilance that was always kept burning in the square, she flew up the stairs before anyone could stop her, and to everyone’s horror she burned herself to a cinder.

Ataraxia might not have been able to discipline herself or control herself or remain conscious of herself as was required for membership, but she couldn’t bare the thought of not being near her Master and she would always be there in spirit…

These were dark days for Shivastus, he wouldn’t let anyone near him.  He didn’t go out.  He didn’t talk.  He did as little as possible.

The Diamond Light, No Thingness, separated itself into energy and matter.  Energy moving slowly, and energy moving quickly.  Light and darkness.  Pattern is the father, it is a movement of energy.  Matrix is the mother, it is the matter from which life springs.  In order for their to be choice their had to be options.  People by their very nature choose to move closer to one or the other according to their ability.  What we think of as heaven or hell is a choice between not changing or not moving and changing and moving and acting.  Life itself moves.  Not life holds still.  Life is intelligent.  Not life is predictable and unconscious.  You choose to be like the father by being active and intelligent and you are allowed to approach the light.  If you refuse to change and grow you draw yourself close to the mother by your actions.

Crystals grow in a matrix, but they are nothing like their surroundings.  They choose to be more like the light, more transparent.  Light passes through these more intelligent objects with ease, without friction or distortion.  They are obviously nothing like the environment in which they were conceived, coming from some other place entirely.

How is it that something which is seems impossible to rationalize with one another, the male and the female, the darkness and the light, matter and energy, polar opposites of one another could have some from one single source?  So perfectly married to one another that their is no difference or disagreement?  The two substances appear to disappear all together?  This is the mystery of the 6th level of initiation, the sixth heaven, the Ajna Chakra, the third eye, the alchemical marriage.  The trick to this level of initiation is to realize that they were never separate to begin with, they were always one and the same thing.  The true masculine and the true feminine never disagree with one another because they are equal under reason, AEQUALITATUS SUB RATIO.  They both are in a relationship with god and reality, they are both truthseekers, they both are on a path, they do not arrogantly and egotistically pursue their own ends and desires and fly in the face of reason.  They fulfill their functions and duties faithfully and happily.  The Vexing of the spirit occurs when one party or another is over emphasizing their value, in effect worshiping the ego over reason, idolizing a false god.

From the Last Organon of Shivastus Solomonicus, the Meditations

Idolatry would have to be considered all over emphasis.  It is a subtle form of delusion, not like the normal psychosis.  Non delusion is being in relationship with reality, it is easier to recognize delusion in a person who thinks something that doesn’t exist does exist or vice versa.  There is also the delusion of vitiated knowledge or partial knowledge, that is thinking that their is a connection between two things that are not connected, or being wrong about the nature of the connection.  Or not recognizing the nature of the connection between two things that have a connection.

Idolatry is difficult to recognize because it is over emphasis or under emphasis on the thing not over emphasized.  Idolatry is about imbalance.  It is about thinking that something is more important than it actually is.  It is about giving credit to something that doesn’t deserve that credit.  This always results in a subtle intellectual act of theft where one steals credit from the thing that is actually responsible for the success and offers it as a sacrifice to the thing that doesn’t deserve the credit.  It is a way of lying to oneself about the nature of reality.

During my first samadhi I had a sensation as though God was telling me a joke and I was the only one in the universe that was  laughing.

During my second death I had a feeling like god was a lonely old man telling himself stories and starting to believe they were real.

During my third death I realized that I was god.

During my fourth death I realized that I was nothing so it didn’t matter if I was god, everything, everywhere, was nothing.
The universe is NOTHING CHANGING.

During my fifth death it was revealed to me that I was love and things came into existence so that I could express my love to myself
in the form of other objects and people.

During my 6th death I realized that there were too many phenomenon in the universe to comprehend.

During my 7th death I longed for the dissolution of my sense of self. I wanted to return to a state of forgetting. I wanted to remember

Shivastus Solomonicus lay dying, at 999 years of age surrounded by his most faithful apostles.  Ataraxia, sat at his right hand reading to him and recording his dying will.  Noah Socrates was well on his way to return the book of all Wisdom to the Akashic Library.  Shivastus had purified himself of all of his karmas and had satisfied all of his desires he had achieved zero karma hundreds of years ago and felt nothing as his life slowly fled from him.  He faded in and out of consciousness and this is what he experienced.

Noah Socrates was able to fill this in retroactively from the Akashic Library with the blessing of Frater S. S.

I felt my soul project from my body shooting up like a rocket into the void of space.  I picked up speed and found myself heading towards Saturn, entering the atmosphere I suddenly I found myself in a room with a large scales in front of me and a large, black, Jackal headed creature facing me.  In front of the scales and the creature there was something, hideous, and writhing and disgusting that looked like the head of Medusa.  On either side of me facing in the same direction there were two muscular creatures looking similar to the first except each had a sword and a spear.  I sensed they were some manner of bailiffs.  The first creature spoke in a loud, deep, strange voice saying, “I am Dogon, and this is very serious, these are grave matters.  Your life is on trial.  How do you plead?”

“Do you see this knot floating in front of me?  That is the collective judgments and superstitions and traditions of all of the people from your realm and they disagree with you.  Defend your assertion.”

“I only recognize the authority of reason as the law which has the right to judge me.”

“You appear lacking in humility.”

“I am ill equipped to win the contest of humility, just as others are ill equipped to win the contest of ability, should I hide my light so that they think their own brighter?  I increased my talents and they buried their own.”

“You are an unpleasant, arrogant, creature.”

“It is hard to live a life of pleasantness when you are wise and are surrounded by morons that want to force their way on you and are determined themselves to fail.  I disagree that I am arrogant, I believe I evaluate myself correctly.  Arrogance is thinking you are better than you are, I am as good as I think I am and I am willing to prove it.”

“Do you mock my authority?”

“Does authority extend to making a crooked law? or practicing an injustice?  If you can’t prove me wrong in reasoned debate or in scientific experiment then I deserve a contest of strength.”

“What you say is not untrue, but as long as this knot exists, your sentence is mandatory and I have no ability to lessen it.”

Now, to say that Shivastus was a good martial artist would have been a lie.  He was a great martial artist, perhaps the greatest ever, he was a full fledged Tai Chi, he had absorbed so much orgone that he could move at the speed of thought and he had the strength of over 100 men.  Faster than the eye could see, or the mind could grasp, in one fell swoop he had grabbed one of the swords and was flipping through the air towards the Gordion Knot.  Charging the sword with chi and concentrating his intention, before anyone could act he severed the ugly giant head of sentimental judgments in twain, and their lay the dying Gorgon head, writhing and oozing and gurgling in its death throws.

“You are free to go.”   Said the creature.

Shivastus repercussed into his physical body, startling Ataraxia.  The rest of the account is told to us by her.

“What is it, my guru?”

“I see myself in the garden of Eden.  I am the tree, and I am god, and I am Adam, and I am eve, and all three are one in me.  I have crossed the abyss…

Shivastus exhaled his last breath and his body disappeared, a sparkly golden light filled the room.  There was the sound of haunting Angelic music, and the intoxicating smell of night blooming jasmine, the most delicate of smells.  The smell and the music lingered for three days and a million people came to visit the place of his death and it became a holy sight.  He had filled himself with so much orgone that when the soul energy was raised it also turned his physical body into intelligent energy.  The only thing left behind was his hair and nails, which, as was his request was made into a lab grown diamond and placed into a ring.  The carbon from his hair and nails colored the diamond the most beautiful unearthly color of blue and it was set in a shrine to wait for the appointed one that would save the Zed society if it became corrupt.

Hello students of the Mysteries, this is Noah Socrates speaking to your from the Akashic Repository via the tepaphone, let those of you that have ears listen.  Today we are not going to scry or move through history as we usually do but I am going to tell you of an event that I remember back when I was on earth with my beloved Guru and friend frater Shivastus Solomonicus.  Sometimes he would get so enthusiastic that he would blurt out occult secrets and expose that he had personally influenced events in history.  He would incriminate himself with guilty knowledge that only a certain historical personage had known.

This one time the subject of King Arthur came up which provoked babaji to start going into this story about how Excalibur had been the name of Arthurs first sword and he had broken it by using it dishonorably.  Babaji then explained that the name of the second sword was PRAXIS.  Everyone was dumbfounded, mouths agape.  Many of his students were fluent with the subject of Arthurian Mysticism and diligent students of those  mysteries, and none of them had ever heard that before.  It wasn’t hard to figure out that Babaji being 900 and some years old had something personally to do with King Arthur.  He had accidentally shown his hand.

A frantic discussion began in the Zed to find out exactly what his relationship with Arthur was.  I won’t tell you all of the wild ideas but just the ones that I found in my research from the Akashic Library to have been correct.  It turns out that he was the Merlin.  Merlin’s staff had two dragons on it.  According to what Shivastus said at other times the white dragon and the red dragon represented Indulgeance and Aversion the forces that make up the human body.  The wine and the bread, the blood and the brain.  He taught that the balancing of these out was the alchemical marriage.  Many of the Zed thought and I feel correctly so that his initials S.S. were a reference to the two dragons on Merlin’s staff.

Some believed that the two S’s in Moses were similar.  Shivastus often taught that the word moses meant freedom and came from the Indian word Moksha.  Some people correlated the two serpents that Moses Serpent ate up when he threw it down in front of Janis and Jambris as meaningful too.  Shivah tells us the Jains were the mystics from india.  Moses demonstrated Sapiential Authority over the advisers to the king.

I was able to talk to him in private one day as we walked through the maze garden on our walking meditations and he told me that what King Arthur had been trying to do was to bring the philosophy of the cult of the Augures to the modern age for the good of the world.  Arthur was Auctoritas, the word made by the cult of the Augures and their philosophy on society and praxis, the Zed society itself was based on the tenets of that cult.  Even Jesus had tried to bring the very same message to the West and succeeded to a greater or lesser extent before his message was corrupted.  Auctoritas Rex is the once and future king because he is the only king that deserves to rule.  Jesus wasn’t king of the Jews, he was king of the philosophers because the rabbinical tradition was a philosophical guru tradition, so it should read.

Praxis is the practice and process of applying your philosophy in the world, walking your talk.  The high priest isn’t above the law and doesn’t invent the law, he teaches the law and the law is pre existent and immutable.  If the high priest didn’t teach it the very rocks would scream it.  Nobody is above the authority of reason.  Homo Sapiens means wise man.  People aren’t born wise and some people never attain to wisdom which means that not all human animals are actually HUMAN, only wise man is human, only wise man is like god.

Shivastus would hammer over and over again that if you don’t know the logical fallacies and cognitive biases you can’t prevent yourself from making them.  And you will not be a wizard before you are a philosopher king.  The siddhis don’t even begin to take effect until you are rational, perfectly rational.  Magick is not only dangerous to the wielder without reason and without a guru, it is an act of theft from god.
