Torah Explained for Atheists part 3. Rabbi Ba’al Shivah

4 rabbi

I am going to open this piece with an exposition of the 4 rabbi’s that went into Paradise or PaRDeS and the exegesis of the story.  Later, I will return to the intro to the The Zohar: Pritzker Edition, translated with commentary by Daniel C. Matt.  Those portions that are not sourced come from the Zohar.  Let’s begin.

The version in the Babylonian Talmud, which is the best-known, may be translated:

The Rabbis taught: Four entered the Pardes. They were Ben Azzai, Ben Zoma, Acher and Rabbi Akiva. Rabbi Akiva said to them, “When you come to the place of pure marble stones, do not say, ‘Water! Water!’ for it is said, ‘He who speaks untruths shall not stand before My eyes’ (Psalms 101:7)”. Ben Azzai gazed and died. Regarding him the verse states, ‘Precious in the eyes of G-d is the death of His pious ones’ (Psalms 116:15). Ben Zoma gazed and was harmed. Regarding him the verse states, ‘Did you find honey? Eat as only much as you need, lest you be overfilled and vomit it’ (Proverbs 25:16). Acher cut down the plantings. Rabbi Akiva entered in peace and left in peace.[3]

In the commentary printed beside the Talmud text, Rashi says that Ben Azzai died from looking at the Divine Presence. Ben Zoma‘s harm was in losing his sanity. Acher‘s “cutting down the plantings” in the orchard refers to becoming a heretic from the experience. Acher means “the other one”, and is the Talmudic term for thesageElisha ben Avuya. Rabbi Akiva, in contrast to the other three, became the leading Rabbinic figure of the era.

“Again and again Rabbi Shim’on waxes eloquent in the praise of those who study Torah, especially those who do so after midnight.  They indeed take the place of the priests and Levites of old, ‘who stand in the house of the Lord by night.’  Those who awaken nightly to study the secrets of Torah become the earthly attendants of the divine bride, ushering Her into the chamber where She will unite at dawn with Her heavenly spouse.”

This is interesting to me for a few reasons, the reference to studying Torah at midnight is interesting because it is after midnight that one practices black magick in Voodoo, modern Voodoo is based on the 6th and 7th books of Moses.  Voodoo is something you use when you have no resources and you are fighting an enemy with all the resources.  This passage portrays the Levites as a kind of Guardian, hyper vigilant to an attack from the enemy, standing in a heightened state of suspicious awareness while everybody else slumbers.

“Torah, in the Zohar is not conceived as a text, as an object, or as material, but as a living divine presence, engaged in a mutual relationship with the person who studies her.  More than that, in the zoharic consciousness Torah is compared to a beloved who carries on with her lovers a mutual dynamic courtship.”

Remember if you will my theory that the cult of the Augures who created the philosophy of law, science, and religion in the West were associated with India and the Hebrews.  The High Priest of the cult of the Augures meditated on the divine law that infused the universe, he didn’t create the law and he was subject to it.  Even the separation of powers of the president is modeled after the Philosophy of the Augure cult.  Think of Torah as the divine law that governs events in the universe.

“The beloved in the nexus of this rrelationship is entirely active.  She sends signals of her interest to her lover, she intensifies his passionate desire for her by games of revealing and hiding.  She discloses secrets that stir his curiosity.  She desires to be loved.  The beloved is is closed in an erotic progression before her lover out of a desire to reveal secrets that have been forever hidden within her.

…the day when God gave Torah to Israel and proclaimed His love for her in the song of songs.”

a rhetorical tautology of God giving man a soul by giving him philosophy…

“In the Zohar, the true subject matter that the kabbalist finds in every verse is the hieros gamos itself, the mystical union of the divine male and female – the eros that underlies and transforms Torah, making it into a symbolic textbook on the inner erocit life of God.”

I am going to paraphrase a bit, many of the texts that make the Zohar are of the stories of the rabbis under the tutelage of Rabbi Shim’on.  They like the apostles of Jesus wander and teach others, in that journey, as they are having this mystical conversation on the nature of reality and remembering their experiences and what they learn, they often encounter people and beings that have more awareness of certain principles that govern the universe and human behavior than they do.  This knowledge also enters into their canon.

“The world as first created was a true Garden of Eden because the blessed Holy One and the Sheckinah were fact to face, joined in constant embrace like that of the upper sefirot Hokhmah and Binah.  Divine blessing thus coursed through the system without interruption…”

At this point in time the Jewish people didn’t believe in making visual artistic depictions of men or animals because they feared it would lead to idolatry, but here I can trace the rhetorical tautologies and movement of ideas in this fashion.

According to the Dalai Lama, Samantabhadra is the highest form of Buddha.  I think he meant this because this form of the Buddha represents God as the Creator in his male and female aspect, if you ponder you realize that in order to create you have to include feminine and masculine.  It might interest you to know that Heinrich Zimmer whose work was published and edited posthumously by Joseph Campbell had determined in his investigations that Buddhism was an offshoot of Hinduism as the Buddhas came from India and Nepal.

Here the author makes mention of the myth of Plato which I will expound on for those of you who are not aware of it, and he connects it with the early Jewish myth, which is not only interesting in its implications it is also appropriate in light of my theories.

The Symposium Quotes
“According to Greek mythology, humans were originally created with four arms, four legs and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate parts, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves.”
“…and when one of them meets the other half, the actual half of himself, whether he be a lover of youth or a lover of another sort, the pair are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy and one will not be out of the other’s sight, as I may say, even for a moment…”
aristotle
When he said this he was using the word Philia, or Brotherly love, or fraternal love, making a reference to a philosophical family, notice the word philosophy has the words philia and sophia in it.  The single soul would be Sophia, or Psyche, or Torah.  This also has to do with the Philosophy of Greek Astrology if that is interesting, you can read this piece that I wrote.  https://thoughtuncommon.wordpress.com/2013/09/08/philosophy-of-astrology/
hermaphrodite (n.) Look up hermaphrodite at Dictionary.comlate 14c. (harmofroditus), from Latin hermaphroditus, from Greek Hermaphroditos (Latin Hermaphroditus), son of Hermes and Aphrodite, who, in Ovid, was loved by the nymph Salmacis so ardently that she prayed for complete union with him and as a result they were united bodily, combining male and female characteristics. Also used figuratively in Middle English of “one who improperly occupies two offices.” As a name for the condition, Middle English had hermofrodito (late 14c.), hermofrodisia(early 15c.). As an adjective, from c.1600.  http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=hermaphrodite
“Adam and eve according to the aggadah, were siamese twins, conjoined back to back.  This single being is that described in Genesis 1:27:  “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”  …in the following chapter is the separation of this pair, in which they are first turned to face-to-face to one another, …  They had to be “sawed apart” so they might be properly united.”

If we wanted to get really esoteric I could trace this idea all the way back to India for you.  Do you double dog dare me?

Rabbi Ba’al Shivah, the reason Muslims are not descendants of Adam.

1360_muslim_adam_eve

Muslim’s claim descent from Adam, as a matter of fact they claim to be the original man and the conceit of being the perfect man.  This informs their belief that they are a type of royalty, even though they are the most illiterate group of people on their planet.  From their perspective everything and everyone is under their authority and subject to their judgment and punishment. They are the original, the final, and the only cause of the good and everything they do is good because they are the one’s doing it.  You can manufacture this manner of stupidity when you have an illiterate people who can’t read themselves, and is told what to do, think and feel by a very small priest class.  It is difficult to not be flippant on this subject or respectful even because it is so, so, stupid.  Let’s examine. . .

Âdam ( Arabic: آدمtranslit.: ʾĀdam, Alternate Spelling: Adem ) is believed to have been the first human being and the first prophet and messenger in Islam.[1] Adam’s role as the father of the human race is looked upon by Muslims with reverence. Muslims also venerate his wife, Eve, as the “mother of mankind”.[2] Muslims see Adam as the first Muslim, as the Qur’an promulgates that all the prophets preached the same faith of submission to God.[3] His story is told in theQur’an in numerous places, though his Qur’anic narrative differs from that in the Torah in some aspects.

According to the Qur’an, God Created humankind out of clay,[13] shaped it to a form and then commanded the angels to bow (submit) to Adam. Iblis (Devil) refused out of pride[14] and was banished from Jannah (Heaven). Iblis was one of the jinn to begin with.[15][16]

  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_in_Islam

Coming after the Jews, they take the Jewish story and make it about themselves, dismissing everyone and everything that came before themselves as irrelevant.  The interesting way this gets interpreted is that anybody that doesn’t recognize the superiority of the Muslims, is Iblis, this is why they refer to the jews as shayateen, Satan, and the United States as the Great Satan.

In an article previous to this I mentioned the phonological similarities of the word ibis and Iblis and the fact that Thoth has the head of an Ibis and I find this very significant.  I will get into more of that later.  Now, let’s use my Jewish exegesis to discover why Muslims cannot be descendants of Adam as they say.

Thoth Ok

Pardes refers to (types of) approaches to biblical exegesis in rabbinic Judaism (or – simpler – interpretation of text inTorah study). The term, sometimes also spelled PaRDeS, is an acronym formed from the name initials of the following four approaches:

  • Peshat (פְּשָׁט) — “plain” (“simple”) or the direct meaning.[1]
  • Remez (רֶמֶז) — “hints” or the deep (allegoric: hidden or symbolic) meaning beyond just the literal sense.
  • Derash (דְּרַשׁ) — from Hebrew darash: “inquire” (“seek”) — the comparative (midrashic) meaning, as given through similar occurrences.
  • Sod (סוֹד) (pronounced with a long O as in ‘bone’) — “secret” (“mystery”) or the esoteric/mystical meaning, as given through inspiration or revelation.

First of all the Christians got it wrong, perhaps intentionally, the forbidden fruit was not sex it was in all actuality the human brain, it was the tree of knowledge after all.  And in partaking of it one becomes like god.  The whole purpose of life on earth was to be like god from the ancient perspective, in living you were performing Theurgia, the work of god.  You balanced out the 4 elements fire, water, earth, and air just like god did.  In living as a human you were attempting to understand god, this is what separates us from the angels and makes us their superiors.  Secondly, since all will is god’s will the devil is actually doing gods will, “The devil is god’s hitman.” my saying and you can quote me on that.

When Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden, which is essentially heaven or the Yin world… (http://adstc.wordpress.com/2014/01/26/the-yin-world/)  …they were happily unconscious not thinking with their brains but with their emotions, they didn’t have to think about practicality or survival, everything was provided for them.  Now that they had chosen to be like god they had to live consciously not like ignorant little animals.  Now here is the kicker, Muslims don’t do their own thinking, they reject thinking, they have a priest class to do their thinking for them.  Most of them are illiterate and Saudi Arabia translates fewer books into their language than Greece does, and Greece has a much smaller population, Muslims are largest, fastest growing population on earth, reproducing irresponsibly.  Muslims never left the Garden of Eden so they can’t be descendants of Adam.

Secondly, they rejected the temple of Thoth in Egypt, as a philologist I frankly think the word thought comes from the Egyptian god Thoth. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proto-Indo-European_language)  I suspect that they named their devil Iblis after the ibis headed Thoth and made him their Satan.  Intelligence and wisdom and reason is their Satan. Thoth was a scribe, he recorded things, which means that he had memory, Muslims refuse to remember, they lie about history.  In the UK they banned teaching the Holocaust in school to avoid offending Muslims.  (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-445979/Teachers-drop-Holocaust-avoid-offending-Muslims.html)

Muhammad was very clever in an insane, evil, stupid kind of way.  He re branded the old evil traditions and superstitions of Babylon as a new religion carrying on in the tradition of Moses and Jesus, when their reforms were to remove the co mingling of the insane, evil, murderous, social climbing Persians from their midst and rank.  What he tried to do and is being somewhat successful in doing is making it as though Christianity and Judaism never happened, and extending the Persian empire as was always their tyrannical instinct and purpose.

Rebranding is a marketing strategy in which a new name, term, symbol, design, or combination thereof is created for an established brand with the intention of developing a new, differentiated identity in the minds of consumers, investors, and competitors.[1][2] Often, this involves radical changes to a brand’s logo, name, image, marketing strategy, and advertising themes. Such changes typically aim to reposition the brand/company, occasionally to distance itself from negative connotations of the previous branding, or to move the brand upmarket; they may also communicate a new message a new board of directors wishes to communicate.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebranding

Muslim’s are the children of the lie, and they spread their religion by lying, concealing the evil of it, lying about history and their deeds and their intent, killing anybody that tells others what they are really about and snickering all the while as their evil plan succeeds.  The Pharisees in the bible that plagued Jesus were of this creed, it is obvious from the rhetorical tautologies in their narrative and from Jesus own words, “don’t even step foot in a samaritan encampment…”

mathew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.

Matthew 10: 16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

The Samaritans are adherents of Samaritanism, an Abrahamic religion closely related to Judaism. Based on theSamaritan Pentateuch,[3] Samaritans say that their worship is the true religion of the ancient Israelites prior to theBabylonian Exile, preserved by those who remained in the Land of Israel, as opposed to Judaism, which they say is a related but altered and amended religion, brought back by those returning from the Babylonian exile.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samaritans

Remember if you will how the Pharisees lost debate after debate to Jesus, and they were constantly asking him questions to put him in a trap, where either he would say something illegal by Roman Law, or by Rabbinical Law.  This same philosophical battle wages today.  Jesus argued against the violent interpretation of the law from the old testament.  Argued against stoning women.  Argued against a violent revolution.  And when he spoke to the Roman leaders they respected him because he spoke with authority, they treated him as an equal.

In ancient Rome, Auctoritas referred to the general level of prestige a person had in Roman society, and, as a consequence, his clout, influence, and ability to rally support around his will. Auctoritas was not merely political, however; it had a numinous content and symbolized the mysterious “power of command” of heroic Roman figures.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auctoritas

Muslims claim that Jesus was a prophet of Allah, not true, he serves another god.  But if that was the case why then do they have this obsession with the Pharoahs of Egypt that persecuted the Jews?

Quran (9:30)“And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!”

Telling Lies, Duping Delight

So, who are they really?  Well I am glad you asked.

But recite unto them with truth the tale of the two sons of Adam, how they offered each a sacrifice, and it was accepted from the one of them and it was not accepted from the other. (The one) said: I will surely kill thee. (The other) answered: Allah accepteth only from those who ward off (evil). Even if thou stretch out thy hand against me to kill me, I shall not stretch out my hand against thee to kill thee, lo! I fear Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Lo! I would rather thou shouldst bear the punishment of the sin against me and thine own sin and become one of the owners of the fire. That is the reward of evil-doers. But (the other’s) mind imposed on him the killing of his brother, so he slew him and became one of the losers. Then Allah sent a raven scratching up the ground, to show him how to hide his brother’s naked corpse. He said: Woe unto me! Am I not able to be as this raven and so hide my brother’s naked corpse? And he became repentant. For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth. (Surah 5:27-32 Pickthall)

http://www.answering-islam.org/authors/masihiyyen/cain_abel.html

If you carefully read this transliteration, and you deconstruct the vagueness’s, obfuscation, and manipulations you see that they are defending the one that killed his brother and placing blame for the killing on the one that got killed.  It is unbelievable, they are saying that the one (unnamed) whose offering was accepted, wanted to kill his brother, he didn’t say it, he thought it, and apparently the murderous one had the ability to read minds even though god didn’t accept his sacrifice.  “But (the other’s) mind imposed on him the killing of his brother, so he slew him and became one of the losers…”  how is that not insane?  You forced me to kill you with the power or your brain, but I forgive myself because Allah forgives me.  (smh)

One last thing I have said how throughout history these two different peoples strove one against the other, an epic battle between good and evil.  Ponder this after everything I have told you, who are muslims really descended from?

Ahura Mazda (/əˌhʊrəˌmæzdə/;[1]), (also known as Ohrmazd, Ahuramazda, Hourmazd, Hormazd, and Hurmuz,Lord or simply as spirit) is the Avestan name for a higher spirit of the Old Iranian religion who was proclaimed as the uncreated spirit by Zoroaster, the founder of Zoroastrianism. Ahura Mazda is described as the highest spirit of worship in Zoroastrianism, along with being the first and most frequently invoked spirit in the Yasna. The literal meaning of the word Ahura means light and Mazda means wisdom.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahura_Mazda

Angra Mainyu[pronunciation?] (also: Aŋra Mainiiu) is the Avestan-language name of Zoroastrianism‘s hypostasis of the “destructive spirit” from which later conceptions of Satan derive.

BELOW IS A RELATED ARTICLE, RABBINICAL LINEAGE OF SOME PEOPLE GOES ALL THE WAY BACK TO EGYPT, SOME PEOPLE POSSESSED THE SECRETS AND THEY TOOK THE SECRETS WITH THEM ON HOW TO BUILD, YOU HAD TO EARN THE RIGHT TO BE PRIVY TO THOSE SECRETS AND NOT EVERYBODY WAS ABLE TO PASS THE INITIATIONS.  IF THEY HAD ACCESS TO THOSE SECRETS THEY WOULD HAVE REMEMBERED THEM IF THEY WERE CAPABLE.

Island of Jewels: Sikala Shiva and Nishkala Shiva

Image

Island of Jewels-The Garden of Eden and the Connection between Judeo Christian, Islam and Hindu Religions

Lynn Marie Katerina: It is exciting to look at this image knowing that that’s me.  Could you please explain the symbolism in this iconographic piece of artwork that you made?

Joxua: Sure.  I first came across this image when I was reading a book on symbolism and mythology in Indian art by Heinrich Zimmer and edited by Joseph Campbell posthumously seeing as how Zimmer never published his work in his lifetime.

This piece basically symbolizes the human mind, conscious, subconscious, unconscious and the human psyche; Id, ego and superego.  Shiva’s consort is perched on top of his prone body which is in Shivasana, the corpse pose which is lying on top of a dead body, which is also Shiva.

This is a metaphor for the alchemical marriage; the Judeo-Christian concept of the Garden of Eden came from this original metaphor.  Shakti’s skirt conceals the connection between the sacred masculine and the sacred feminine.  The secret fact is that they are conjoined mid-coitus just as Samantabhadra, the highest form of Buddha is engaged in sex as he represents creative intelligence.  In order to create you need masculine intelligence and feminine intelligence without balance of yin and yang there is no creation.

Shakti represents the conscious mind, Shiva, the subconscious mind projected on the sub strand of Shiva’s corpse, the unconscious mind.  Transversely, Shiva’s corpse represents super ego or the absence of the presence of self, the Buddhist concept of no-self, or selflessness or non-ego.  Shiva represents ego or the enlightened sense of self, the philosopher king who must be latent in the world of action as he is too wise and too understanding he is barred from acting on the world.  Must submit to the children so that they can learn from their own mistakes and taught by their own actions.  Shakti represents the id, the unenlightened sense of self that becomes aware of itself by playing in the universe as leela, acting on the universe and then observing the karma created.

Nishkala Shiva is the name of Shiva’s corpse.  It represents the moon when it is empty after it wanes and before it has begun to wax.  It is given a value of zero.  It represents the empty space of the universe, the canvas on which we paint ourselves, and the playground in which we grow up.  It is the diamond light, the nothingness out of which everythingness was created by separating emptiness into light and matter.  Light which is matter moving quickly and matter which is light moving slowly creates a spectrum in which we could express ourselves and move closer to the light or the darkness to yangness or yin-ness, consciousness or unconsciousness.

Sakala Shiva is given the value of sixteen, which represents the number of days the moon needs to wax and become full; perfectly reflecting the light of the sun.  He represents a person that has learned everything they can from the realm of human life; a fully accomplished homo sapiens, a wizard king, Zorba the Buddha, to borrow a phrase from Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh.

Lynn Marie Katerina: Wow that is really fascinating.  I am not sure I really understand the connection between Shaivism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam though.  Could you help me connect them a little better?

Joxua: Sure, it’s just that the three major religions all have the Garden of Eden in their mythology and that alchemical marriage icon comes from the Island of Jewels metaphor.  So it deals with proper relationship which is what religion tries to be.  Shiva and Shakti, Jehovah and Schechinah, Jove and Juno, the prime mover unmoved and the agency through which he works his will in the universe through the Holy Spirit.  It is through this meditation that we seek to unveil the proper relationship, equality under reason that shows us how we are connected to each other and the universe.  What is the proper relationship between the waves and the sea and even the vast expanse of outer space?

The Garden of Eden is the island of jewels which is the alchemical marriage, which is the highest form of Buddha, Samatrabadra.  We haven’t mastered the third eye chakra or reached the 6th heaven until both of the people in the relationship understand the uncorrupted form of perfect relationship and only two perfect God-like people could master or contemplate this relationship.  Imagine if you will, a king and queen who have been married for ten thousand years, they conceive each other as one-self.  They cannot and will not leave this old familiar relationship because nobody could replace their mate.  Nobody could understand them as well or bring as much into the relationship without the relationship both of their lives are diminished but at the same time they each have their own consorts and concubines, their interests and hobbies and their pet projects, both of them want the other to be free and happy and nothing can come between them.  The happiness of the other is my happiness and vice versa.  Both parties are freed and supported by the relationship, not punished and hindered.  It is an enriched relationship, the opposite of what people conceive of relationship today.  It is only through this relationship that one can re-enter the Garden of Eden.  You can’t enter alone.  You have to make like a baby and head in, go in, gnosis, genesis, genius, Janus, jinani, gyne, yoni.  Genesis means to go in, exodus means to be expelled.  It was the failure to stay in relationship that caused the fall from grace and the expulsion from the Garden of Eden.  Also of interest, the first thing you do when going into the world is inhale and the last thing you do upon dying is exhale.  It is a form of the in-breaths and out-breaths of Brahma.  The first two books of the Judeo-Christian scriptures also, God breathed into Adam the breath of life.  God inspired Adam so we are in God.  In theos, enthusiasm, enthusiastic, and God is in us.  Inspire, spirit, and prana.

Lynn Marie Katerina: This is excellent and marvelous rundown and interpretation of the history of mankind and the origins of the original sin.  Joxua says it’s like putting humpty dumpty back together again.  The failure in relationship has caused the expulsion in the Garden of Eden.  Mistakes in the past need to be corrected and we all must consider and learn from history and say to ourselves…where did we go wrong and what can we do to do better;  Self introspection and contemplation is needed as opposed to unconsciousness and running on auto pilot.  Joxua speaks about “Epanasundesi “or staying in relationship and that’s an interesting topic.  The past was failure and we must take care to not repeat the mistakes of the past; we must do better this time.  It’s about getting it right this time around.  Thank you Joxua, this contains a lot of wonderful information.
